Coatings for our products
GEOBLACK®
GEOBLACK® is used for corrosion protection of fasteners and other metal parts in any industrial sector looking for a glossy black finish and excellent anticorrosion performance.
It combines the high performance of GEOMET® with a uniform black finish and is resistant to chemical attack. Like GEOMET®, it is free of chromium VI, which makes it ideal for the automotive sector. It also complies with both REACh regulations and directives 2000/53/EC and 2002/95/EC on health and the environment, as well as sharing the resistance to the salt spray chamber test (1000 h. CNS). This black anticorrosion coating is suitable for all types of parts, including threaded parts.
DELTA-TONE ® 9000
It is a non-electrolytic protection system that can be used on all types of metal parts, whether threaded or not, especially steel parts. This coating system consists of nonhydrogenating zinc and aluminum foils that are cured at low temperature (240ºC), which reduces the influence on the structure of high strength steels. It offers cathodic corrosion protection, which means that it acts as an effective barrier against white corrosion, and is capable of withstanding relatively high operating temperatures (150ºC). In addition, this system is resistant to chemicals and allows repetitive unscrewing and screwing without excessive deterioration.
It also allows color post-treatment, which increases corrosion protection, chemical resistance and, if necessary, lubrication. In addition, it complies with environmental requirements and does not contain polluting heavy metals such as Cr 6+, Pb, Cd or Hg. It has been certified by Germanischer Lloyd for use in wind energy applications, both onshore and offshore, and has been approved by leading wind turbine manufacturers for its resistance to salt spray (C5-Marine 1500 h.) and coefficient of friction (0.09 - 0.14).
Depending on the thickness applied, values between 480 h. and 1000 h. without red rust can be obtained in the neutral salt spray test according to ASTM B117. In addition, with the application of sealants such as DELTA-SEAL®, these resistance values can be increased, as well as the thickness which can be adjusted to meet metric thread tolerances according to ISO 965.
HOT-DIP GALVANIZED
GEOMET "A"
Coating of metal surfaces used to improve their resistance to corrosion and wear. It consists of several thin layers of zinc and aluminum, which are applied to the metal surface by an electrochemical deposition process. This process produces a uniform and homogeneous layer that provides excellent corrosion resistance, even in highly corrosive environments, such as exposure to salt water or environments with high humidity levels.
In addition to its corrosion resistance, Geomet A coating also provides high wear and abrasion resistance, making it particularly suitable for parts that are exposed to friction and mechanical wear.
GEOMET "B"
TRIVALENT BLACK ZINC
It is a black passivated zinc electrolytic coating that complies with the 2000/53/CE and RoHS directives, and with the strictest environmental regulations as it does not contain hexavalent chromium (Cr VI). This coating can be further treated to increase its corrosion resistance. If a thick black passivate (10 µm) is applied, the resistance time to the appearance of oxides in CNS environments can be extended. In addition, applying lacquers can also significantly increase corrosion resistance. However, this coating is not recommended for highstrength steels (10.9, 12.9) and parts with hard spring washers due to the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.
BICROMATE Cr III
ZINC Cr III
It is an electrolytic plating process in which a layer of trivalent chromium zinc is deposited on a metal part. This process is a more environmentally friendly and less toxic alternative to hexavalent chromium zinc plating, which is highly polluting and hazardous to human health. Cr III zinc plating has similar anti-corrosion properties to Cr VI zinc plating and can be used as a base for subsequent treatments, such as the application of paints or lacquers to further improve its corrosion resistance. However, it is important to note that Cr III zinc plating may not be suitable for high quality steel parts due to the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.
BLACK OXIDED
JS-500
JS-500 is a coating for metal surfaces used to improve their resistance to corrosion and abrasion. It consists of a uniform layer of zinc manganese phosphate, which strongly adheres to the metal surface and provides excellent protection against corrosion and wear. This coating is widely used in the automotive, construction and other industries that require durable, corrosion-resistant metal parts. In addition, the JS-500 coating is an economical and easy-to-apply solution for companies seeking high-quality protection for their metal parts.
